Leigh Brasington's Throbber Page for Netscape 3.x and 4.0

These throbbers are suitable for Netscape 2.x, 3.x and 4.0 running on Windows. Each zip file contains 3 bitmaps: 30m.bmp and 48m.bmp are for Netscape 2.x and 3.x; 40m.bmp is for Netscape 4.0. Golden Spiral Throbber (37 frames - 6556 bytes) created from an Animated GIF I found on the Alchemy Mindworks Web Site. This zip file contains BMPs for old Netscape versions plus it includes spiral26.bmp which works with I.E. 5 & 6 (but spins really fast).

You can easily create your own Throbbers from Animated GIFs - even if you have no artistic talent. How do you think I created those above?!

Make your Throbber throb faster

For Netscape 3.x, you need to go to the C:\Program Files\Netscape\Program folder and replace the 2 bitmaps you find there. The names *usually* are 48m.bmp and 30m.bmp, but they could even be something like 1000.bmp and 1100.bmp. Or there may be no BMPs there at all - then just put the 48m.bmp and 30m.bmp in the Program folder and hope.
